05 / FUEL LOGISTICS · FICTIONAL FIELD FILE

The Coffee Reserve Conspiracy

An emergency cold-brew mystery with a very ordinary ending.

Evidence first. Coffee second. Allegations last.
Rabbit in sunglasses investigates an overturned coffee mug beside a red-string conspiracy board and a highly classified case file

The drawer labeled EMERGENCY CAFFEINE RESERVE was empty. Rabbit started drawing a suspect board before checking the fridge.

CHAPTER 01

A suspicious absence

Rabbit interviewed the mugs, dusted the cooling unit for fingerprints and wrote SABOTAGE? on a sticky note. Johnny Five asked whether he had evidence of sabotage.

“I have a very difficult morning,” Rabbit replied. It was a compelling statement but a weak allegation.

CHAPTER 02

Follow the handoff

Harbormaster reviewed the supply notes. Radar found the time the reserve had last been moved. The cold brew was in the ordinary refrigerator because somebody wanted it to remain cold.

Mad Hatter suggested a space smuggling ring. Johnny Five filed that theory under NOT SUPPORTED.

CHAPTER 03

The new fuel rules

The crew recorded a simple storage note and rewrote the unofficial fuel doctrine: water, nutrition, rest and smart caffeine. Rabbit accepted the policy after a nap improved the quality of his questions.

He still calls it the greatest conspiracy in Warren history. Nobody has the heart to correct the title.

FIELD FILE CLOSED. QUESTION KEPT OPEN.

Rabbit returns to the surface carrying observations and possible next checks—not unverified conclusions.

THE EVIDENCE CHALLENGE

What would you conclude?

Did the missing reserve establish foul play?

No. It established that the initial location was wrong, which required checking—not accusations.

The real-world standard stays the same: verify the evidence, label uncertainty and obtain human authorization before changing anything.
