  2. SEMRush Pro Review
    Recently I had the opportunity to demo the pro version of SEMRush. Previously I was only using the FREE account. One I logged into the pro edition I was blown away with the amount of data you can get for your business. The data is not only exportable for later review showing you details on currently ranked keywords including keywords you may not have been tracking. Another great advantage for marketers is you can review a potential client before you engage with them, already aware of where they are with rankings as well running the tool on your competition and where they are in the competitive cycle.

    Now that I am finished with my trial I will be picking it up as it is now a tool I keep in my toolbox. I have heard about this tool for years from some of the marketing conferences I attend each year and now understand the benefits of why any marketer should use this tool. I use many tools when researching my clients and competitors and highly recommend you at least signup for the FREE Trial.






    Above is a simple screenshot of a basic search query you can get just on a keyword .... Just so much data it will make your head spin. Not only can you put a URL within the search box you can do this on any keyword.

  3. Mentionmap - A Twitter Visualization
    Wow I am impressed I found this little tool out on http://sphinn.com what Mentionmap does is it goes out to your twitter profile and develops a grid looking at some of your power circles of industry, friend groups and defines a cluster allowing you to dig deeper into your map looking for other profiles you may want to get involved in... at the other side of the spectrum if you where wanting to do a quick competitor analysis this would be one great visual tool to help identify missing areas in your profile group.

  5. FREE SEO Report - No Strings Attached

    I came across this really cool tool that is totally free, so I tried it and sure enough it was free, after 24 hours I got an email from the Free SEO Report Site with details about one of my sites.. Very good data in one report. Once the report is completed the details are very helpful for even the non expert to review. I would suggest just putting your site in this tool as it will give you a visual idea of where you are and where you need to be. If you are going to want upgrade you can at only $19.99 per month to get even more goodies.


    There are a ton of great internet marketing tools on the market to day however after seeing this tool I think FREE is always a great price for a great insight into how our online business is doing. Think of it as a health check up but for your website.

    As the economy evolves and recovers we will see online business get even stronger so wouldn't it be a good idea if you already had the upper hand on your competition?
